Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA)

HOPWA is a federal program of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) providing funding for supportive housing needs for people living with HIV.

These funds can provide such services as case management, housing subsidies, and financial assistance for deposits and evictions.

In the Denver Metro Area (Arapahoe, Adams, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Jefferson, and Park counties), HOPWA funds are administered by the City and County of Denver’s Office of Economic Development. HOPWA funding for the balance of the State of Colorado is administered by the Colorado Division of Housing.

These organizations can answer your questions about HOPWA funding and link you to a case manager who can help you.
