Spiritual Resources

Faith, religion and/or spirituality can be comforting and therapeutic for persons facing the challenges associated with a chronic or life threatening illness. In addition to medical interventions and treatments, faith and spirituality can inspire fortitude and determination, while also offering a person a vision of something beyond the physical world. Most, if not all faiths and religions, address the human realities of illness, suffering, frailty, and mortality because all people eventually experience such things, it is part of being human. You  are encouraged, to find, or reconnect, with a faith, religious, or spiritual tradition which is life affirming; which offers comfort and reassurance to you, and  which asks you to extend to others the same respect, dignity, and kindness that is given to  you.

It is difficult to compile a list of all the meaningful spiritual resources, since one’s belief system is very personal and individualized. For those who seek a particular spiritual resource or who want to develop such a support system, please contact the organization below for help in finding the resource that may best meet your needs.
