Understanding how behavioral health can affect an individual’s overall health, the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health created LinkingCare.org to encourage whole person care by quickly connecting healthcare providers and individuals to behavioral health services. LinkingCare.org offers evidence-based substance use and mental health screening tools, information on the effects of mental health and substance use on health, and resources and links on mental health and substance use issues, news and research, in addition to providing you with the names and addresses of mental health and substance use prevention, treatment and recovery providers across the state.
The Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) was established by state law in 1971 to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles; reduce alcohol and other drug abuse; and reduce substance use-associated illnesses and deaths.
With funding and support from OBH, LinkingCare.org was developed by SBIRT Colorado, AspenPointe, Colorado Providers Association, HealthTeamWorks, MINES & Associates, OMNI Institute and Peer Assistance Services, Inc.
LinkingCare.org is a statewide referral resource providing easy access to information and services for mental health and substance use prevention, treatment and recovery. It includes screening tools, offering a quick and easy way to determine how substance use and mental health concerns may be impacting your health and wellbeing, a search function for mental health and substance use prevention, treatment and recovery service providers, and a variety of helpful resources.
